(Sankaracarya's Vivekachudamani 39)

O Lord, thy nectarine speech, sweetened by the elixirs Bliss of Brahman, pure, cooling, issuing in streams from thy lips as from a water-vessel, and pleasing to the ear---do thou shower upon me who am tormented by worldly afflictions as by the flames of a forest fire. Blessed are those who have received even a passing glance from thy eyes, accepting them under thy protection.

The Supreme Lord is the creator, maintainer and destroyer of the entire universe. The whole material world is created by the glance of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. He is the prime cause of all causes. No one higher than him.

Guru Adi-Sankaracarya mentioned that all those words which emanates from the lips of the Lord including food, drink or betel-becomes just like nectar. His words in Vedas are very pleasing to the ears. It is like a water vessel which keeps the water cold and fresh. Even though the surface of earth may be hot but the vessel will be always cold and fresh. The Lord's lips are beyond our understanding.

The Supreme Lord's sound vibration, mantras and words can destroy all mundane miseries like the fire which clear the thick forest. We have to take shelter of Vedas which spoken by the Lord. Each and every word from the Vedas are non different from the Lord himself. One has to come the platform of deep spiritual understanding to feel the energy of the Lord. An atheist cannot understand this because he feels that the whole universe created by some chemicals.

By taking sincere blessings from the Lord will protect us from all material difficulties. His eyes can wash away our hardship but then we should be ready to accept his blessings. Whether we accept or not the merciful Lord continuously guiding us every second without fail but then we do not take initiative to learn about the loving Lord. Even the Lord sees us with love but we are ignoring him just because of our material desires. Let us follow the foot step of Sripad Adi Sankara to remain in the transcendental service of the Lord.
