There are peaceful and magnanimous saints who ---like the spring season—are ever doing good to humanity. They have crossed the dreadful ocean of (embodied) existence through their own efforts and without any (personal) motives, they help others to cross it.

Whenever an acarya comes, following the superior orders of the Supreme Personality of Godhead or His representative, he establishes the principles of religion, as enunciated in Bhagavad-gita.

The spiritual master is a transparent via-medium to the Supreme Lord. His words are non-different from the Supreme God’s, hearing him is just as good as hearing God personally. And his words are absolute and perfect because he is not presenting his own ideas, he is simply repeating what Bhagavad Gita and the previous acaryas have said in a way suitable for the understanding of the audience. He’s not changing the message, adulterating it or adding in any ideas of his own, he’s presenting Krishna’s words and philosophy AS IT IS.

The first and most important task of a Spiritual guru is to take his disciple on the way of truth and religion, to prevent him from drifting towards the sin, to act as headlight and show him the correct path.

A guru is just like a potter (earthman) and a disciple is like a pot. A potter hits the pot from outside and provides every support from within. The guru shows only fake anger from the outside to his disciple but in reality, the guru is supporting his disciple and showing his love so as to correct his behavior, his character, his attitude, his morals and ultimately his life.

Knowledge, love, happiness, mercy, devotion, and faith each of these can be got by serving a spiritual guru where the god actually lives. Thus according to him, if someone wants to attain these virtues and wants to reach and connect with the god, the easiest and the best way is through the spiritual guru. If you serve your guru well and in the true sense than only you will find that ultimate happiness. And you will find god as well because the god himself resides in the feet of the guru.

The feet of the spiritual guru than you will experience the glow, the ocean of the knowledge. The knowledge and wisdom gained should be used to break the sphere of delusion, the mirage of happiness and thus one should be able to maintain the freedom, to keep his mind and soul away from the clutches of delusion so as to unite with the Almighty. Thus If you are at the feet of the spiritual guru than only you will be able to break that dilemma and delusion.

Also, it is of utmost importance that one should choose his spiritual guru as this decision will take him closer or take him away from the Almighty.

The qualities above are only fit for a guru who is constantly in the thought of the Supreme Lord.

Fake gurus, healers, magicians, fashionable and self-proclaimed>.36 person cannot be in the guru category.
