Sankaracarya's Vivekachudamani 392

तरङ्गफेनभ्रमबुद्बुदादि
सर्वं स्वरूपेण जलं यथा तथा ।
चिदेव देहाद्यहमन्तमेतत्
सर्वं चिदेवैकरसं विशुद्धम् ॥

taraṅgaphenabhramabudbudādi

cideva dehādyahamantametat
sarvaṃ cidevaikarasaṃ viśuddham ||
(Sankaracarya's Vivekachudamani 392)

Just as the wave, the surf, the whirlpool, the bubbles, etc., are all, in essence, nothing but water, so too, Consciousness alone is everything from the body etc. to the ego. Truly, everything is the homogeneous, pure Consciousness only.

Vāsudeva is the cause of all causes. Everything that exists emanates from the Lord. In the śruti-mantra, it is stated that the absolute whole or Brahman is the ultimate source of everything. Everything emanates from Him, and everything is maintained by Him. And at the end, everything enters into Him. That is the law of nature. In the smṛti-mantra, the same is confirmed. It is said that the source from which everything emanates at the beginning of Brahmā’s millennium, and the reservoir to which everything ultimately enters, is the Absolute Truth, or Brahman. All the universes with innumerable stars and planets are controlled by the intelligence of the Personality of Godhead.
