(Sankaracarya's Vivekachudamani 437)
Constantly absorbed in experiencing the Bliss of Brahman, a disciplined person (yatih) entertains no distinctions of within and without---this is the indication of a jivan-mukta.
A self-realized soul is who completely in the realization of the Supreme Lord and a person who is truly engaged his mind and body in the service of the Lord (yatih) is a very qualified person of Jivan Mukta. He should not deviate himself from remembering the Lord. Even such a person is qualified to be a Guru. We should not seek an unqualified guru. A guru's duty is not making numerous sisya(disciples) and money. A real guru is someone who is deeply absorbed in meditating the Supreme Lord and his teachings.
