Sankaracarya's Vivekachudamani 469

अहेयमनुपादेयमनादेयमनाश्रयम् ।
एकमेवाद्वयं ब्रह्म नेह नानास्ति किंचन ॥

aheyamanupādeyamanādeyamanāśrayam |
ekamevādvayaṃ brahma neha nānāsti kiṃcana ||
(Sankaracarya's Vivekachudamani 469)

That which is to be neither shunned nor taken up nor accepted, that which is non-dual and without support--there is only the Brahman; in it, there is no duality whatsoever.

"The Supreme Controller is a Supreme Person." Brahmā says, "No, He's a person." Īśvaraḥ paramaḥ kṛṣṇaḥ sac-cid-ānanda-vigraha. Vigraha means person. Mūrti. But He's no ordinary person. Sac-cid-ānanda-vigrahaḥ (Bs. 5.1). Sat cit ānanda. His form is made of eternity, bliss, and knowledge. There cannot be any competition of the Parameśvara or Paraṁ Brahman or Paramātmā. In another verse, it is said, svayaṁ bhagavān kṛṣṇa ekale īśvara. Īśvara, or the Supreme Absolute Truth, cannot have any competitor. Asamaurdhva. These words are there. Asama. Asama means there is no equal. And aurdhva, and nobody is greater. Asamaurdhva. Nobody is greater than Kṛṣṇa, and nobody is equal to Kṛṣṇa. So there no other God than Lord Madhava.
