अनिच्छोर्विषयः किं नु प्रवृत्तेः कारणं स्वतः ॥ ४२३ ॥

(Sankaracarya's Vivekachudamani 425)
When the knots of ignorance in the heart has been totally destroyed, what natural cause can prompt a person who is averse to sense-pleasures, to ego-centric actions?
All humans idea is to become intelligent, but they are seeking intelligence in material education. Those material educations will not lead us to understand the Lord but we can surely learn how to read and write. But only our dharma and Vedas can lead us to undisturbed devotion. When the Vedic knowledge together with bhakti destroys our ignorance then we can able to see the path to understand the Lord. Such a person who is learned will not seek sense pleasure or become an egocentric person. Therefore the goal of human life is to learn Vedas and surrender to the Lord.
