Sankaracarya's Vivekachudamani 495

नारायणोऽहं नरकान्तकोऽहं
पुरान्तकोऽहं पुरुषोऽहमीशः ।
अखण्डबोधोऽहमशेषसाक्षी
निरीश्वरोऽहं निरहं च निर्ममः ॥

nārāyaṇo'haṃ narakāntako'haṃ
purāntako'haṃ puruṣo'hamīśaḥ |
akhaṇḍabodho'hamaśeṣasākṣī
nirīśvaro'haṃ nirahaṃ ca nirmamaḥ ||
(Sankaracarya's Vivekachudamani 495)

I am Narayana, I am the slayer of Naraka, I am the destroyer of Tripurasura; I am the Supreme Being, the Lord, I am the undifferentiated consciousness, I am the Witness of everything; I have no other Lord and I am devoid of a sense of "I" and "mine".

In this sloka, Sripad Sankaracarya is explaining that he is the Lord Narayana. He also said in the previous sloka that he is Brahman. In the scriptures, Brahman is identified as Lord Narayana. There are five kinds of liberation = sālokya, sāmīpya, sārūpya, sārṣṭi, and sāyujya. Sālokya means that after material liberation one is promoted to the planet where the Supreme Personality of Godhead resides, sāmīpya means remaining an associate of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, sārūpya means attaining a four-handed form exactly like that of the Lord., sārṣṭi means attaining opulence like those of the Supreme Lord, and sāyujya means merging into the Brahman effulgence of the Lord. These are the five types of liberation. So the I am Narayana mean to merge(sāyujya) with Lord Narayana.
He is the slayer of Naraka or hell. Because the devotee of a pure devotee or great Acarya like Sankara is to stop everyone going to hellish planets. But unfortunately, we are not taking refuge of such great Acarya.

Lord Shiva destroyed Tripurasura, So in this sloka Sripad Sankara saying that he even Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva destroys Tripura with a mere smile. When all the battlefield was filled with warriors, with Brahma and Vishnu in attendance, there occurred the instant when the forts came together. Lord Shiva merely smiled. The forts were burned to ashes. The battle was over before it began! In Tamil, Lord Shiva has the epithet, "Sirithu Puram yeritha Peruman" which means, He who burnt the cities with a mere smile.

There is no difference in his pure consciousness. Lord Adi Sankara even explaining that he is witnessing everything which happened, happening, and will happen. Sankaracarya is actually an incarnation of Lord Shiva himself.

He clearly says he is the Lord. He is not attached to "I" and "mine".
