Sankaracarya's Vivekachudamani 462
प्रारब्धं सिध्यति तदा यदा देहात्मना स्थितिः ।
देहात्मभावो नैवेष्टः प्रारब्धं त्यज्यतामतः ॥
prārabdhaṃ sidhyati tadā yadā dehātmanā sthitiḥ |
dehātmabhāvo naiveṣṭaḥ prārabdhaṃ tyajyatāmataḥ ||
(Sankaracarya's Vivekachudamani 462)
Only as long as one lives identified with one‘s body, can one accept that prarabdha exists. But no one accepts that a man of Realisation ever identifies with the body. Hence, in this case, prarabdha should be abandoned.
Many of us are not aware of why we took birth in this world. From day one, we are been enjoying the world but forgetting to realize the reason.
A great human who always thinks he is the soul and never identifies himself as the body never gets caught with karmas or prarabdha. There is no question for him to get entangled with the material world. Such persons are very rare and they are great souls.
