Tirupathi Sri Venketeswara Story and Mahatyam Part 23

Padmavati's mental discomfort

After the hunter was chased away from the garden hitting him with stones, Padmavathi returned to the place with her maids. But she was attracted by his good physique and form and had already given her mind to him though she had not revealed it openly. Whether her eyes were opened or shut, his form was appearing before her mind. She felt shy to reveal this either to her parents or to her maids. She was sure her mother would never agree for such an alliance and her father would say that he was not the proper person.

She therefore, could not relish food not could get sleep. She nener spoke to her maids and never went to the garden. She was bed ridden and was always muttering something. She was becoming weaker day by day.

Her parents got worried. They could not find the reason behind. They called for doctors, who gave her medicines but to no effect. Thinking that some evil spirits were playing on her they performed pujas. Talismans were prepared. Special pujas were conducted in temples. But nothing could cure her ailment.

Where can they find a cure for mental discomfort?
