Thondaman builds Srinivasa a temple

On completion of six months period, Srinivasa too leav of Agsthya and accompanied by his wife Padmavathi and mother Vakula devi reached Seshachalam. On an auspicious day he invited Thondaman and said, "O bhakta, you in your previous birth were named Rangadass. To desist your attention being drawn towards women, I made you a Maharaja in this birth. I desire to make Seshachalam my permanent abode till the end of Kaliyuga. So you build me a temple.

Thondaman agreed to do so. He then took leave of him and invited Viswakarma to assist him. On an auspicious day he laid the foundation for the temple. The temple was cmpleted in a short time. The temple, contained many rooms, mandapams, kitchen. Elephant sheds, horse sheds, cow sheds, golden well, prakara Gopurams and etc. On either side foot path leading to Seshachalam were provided Gopurams(towers) and Mandapams constructed.

Thus completing the temple, he informed Srinivasa. Information was sent to the three lokas. Brahma, Siva, devas and others arrived at Seshachalam. On an auspicious day Srinivasa along with Patmavathi entered "Ananda Nilayam."

That happy occassion was marked by a grand feast and distribution of clothes, jewels, scents, sandal paste and etc to the invitees.
