Vakuladevi meets Akasa Raju
Vakuladevi, taking the blessing of Varahaswamy left Venkatachalam and reached Narayanapuram on her mission. She meet Akasa Raju and Dharani Devi in their palace. They received her respectfully, offered her suitable seat and enquired who she, who was looking like a yogin, was? Where was she living? and what brought her there?
She said, "My name is Vakula devi. I live in Seshachalam that is near by. I have a son named Srinivasa. He has the power of ruling the three lokas. At present he has loss all his wealth. He loves your daughter Padmavati and desires to marry her. So I have come on his behalf to request you to give your daughter in marriage to him. He belongs to Sri Hari's Vamsa(family). If you agree to this proposal you would not only earn name and fame but also attain Mukthi"
Her words pleased the king and the queen. They however said, that they would send word, after consulting their elders.
Vakuladevi blessed the royal pair and returned to her cottage.
