Parasurama executed severe penances in Mahendra Parvata after killing all the Kshatriyas. It is said that Parashurama, still lives in Mahendra-parvata. In the next manvantara, he will become a preacher of Vedic knowledge. After finishing His bathing and ritualistic ceremonies at Gangasagara, Lord Balarama proceeded toward the mountain known as Mahendra Parvata, where He met Parashurama, and offered Him respect by bowing down before Him.
