May you be merciful to all who worship you. Mother Lakshmi: The Goddess of Wealth and Prosperity is also the Consort of Lord Vishnu. This beautiful Goddess showers wealth and blessings on her devotees. She is beyond name and form; She is the personification of divine bliss and magnanimity. Musicians and singers sing Her praise, dancers have created beautiful postures and abhinaya, artists have painted glorious pictures to express Her beauty but no one can truly capture her beauty and grace. Lakshmi Mata is the consort of Lord Vishnu, who maintains, sustains and preserves the universe, is beyond time. He is the Samvit (the primary matter) of the universe, while the Goddess is other five attributes that emerge from Samvit. Hence, She is Maya and She is also personified with various names. Goddness Lakshmi is Kriyashakti, (Creative Activity) and Bhutishakti (Creation). This world requires Vishnu's creativity. He therefore needs Lakshmi to be always by His side. Her various avatars as Lord Vishnu's consorts are Varahavataram (Bhoodevi) or Bhoomi, Ramavataram Seeta, Krishnavataram (Radha and Rukmini) and Venkateshwara (Padmavathi Vedavati).
