When Hiranyakasipu asked Prahalad the address of Vishnu whether he is in this pillar of his royal palace. When Prahalad replied yes, the Lord is everywhere. Immediately Hindrayakasipu hit the pillar, and Sri Ugra Jwala Nrisimha came out from this stone pillar. This is the remaining of the Pillar called Sri Ugra Sthambam.
