In the olden days, the powers of a Brahman were incomparable with the powers of a Kshatriya’s Weapons. It was because of recitation of Vedas and repetitively reciting (Svadhyayam) every day some of the Verses (Panjathi). The importance of Vedas and the duty of Brahmans to preserve and recite them for the welfare of (Loka Kshemam) the whole mankind.
