Are we strong supporter of Hinduism or followers of Sanatana Dharma?

I have posted many valuable articles regarding our dharma. There are some people liking and sharing the articles but many of us are not even reacting or willing to share the goodness of our dharma with our friends. I received a message from a person asking for some details. He/she asked Hinduism is a religion that doesn't force anyone and why do some of so call Hindu movements are restricting their followers to become Vegetarian?

Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism) doesn't force anyone but our dharma is a way of life. Clearly teaching us that we should become vegetarians because by eating other animals we are hurting them and killing them. We Hindus believe in Karma. When we hurt and kill other living beings definitely we have to face the same consequences.

Yet, why people are not following? This is the time for us to share and discuss it. Why many of us are refusing to follow? Most of us are working and studying. When we work and study, we should adopt or practice a life which suitable for the working or student dharma. Why aren't we following our Vedic instructions?

Are we neglecting our Vedas? Or are we concluding that we have the right to do anything?

Recently, I have interviewed someone who is a meat eater and during the festival season, he will be a vegetarian. He told me that on bigger occasions such as marriage and birthday parties, it is compulsory for Hindus to cook meat. Otherwise, visitors and relatives will be upset about it. My question about this is, Are we celebrating occasions to please the creator or please the visitors?

For all Hindus please understand by killing hundreds of chickens and goats during marriages and Birthdays will accumulate or bad Karmas. This is not something which will give us a better life. Furthermore, all living beings in this world are the creation of the Supreme God. We cannot destroy them for our tongue or belly satisfaction. We have no right to kill animals. Not only killing we have few other Vedic principles which we need to follow. Are we following?

Now please answer my question are we supporters of Hinduism or followers of Sanatana Dharma?
